About the speaker
Laura Hegemann is a PhD Fellow at the Psychiatric Genetic Epidemiology group at the Nic Waals Institute and PsychGen Center for Genetic Epidemiology and Mental Health at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health. She has a master’s in Genes, Environment and Development in Psychology and Psychiatry from King’s College London and a bachelor’s in Genetics from Rutgers University. Her PhD has focused on disentangling environmental and genetic factors affecting variability in early neurodevelopmental traits in the general population and these traits’ etiological overlap with neurodevelopmental conditions.
